My First Novel

The inspiration for my first novel came the summer after I graduated 8th grade. I was trapped in a new place and the Disney Channel kept showing different versions of The Canterville Ghost. I think I counted seven, but it seemed like a different version was airing repeatedly every day.
Soon I just HAD to write. I didn't know what, but the spark wouldn't go away. So, I took my mom's old electric typewriter and went at it. I kept plugging away at it for two years off and on, until before my junior year of high school we moved and the book got lost in the packing.
I found the book years later, when I was moving out of my parent's house. Looking it over, the spark came back. I wasn't happy with how it was, but I took the basic bones and A Sort of Faerytale was born. I have been working on it ever since. Getting near the home stretch. Hopefully, the story will dazzle, charm, and influence
